Do you ever find yourself wanting to complete a project but don’t know where to begin? Do you feel overwhelmed, or are you just a major procrastinator? Whatever it is, these tips should help you dive into your projects and get them completed at a productive pace that works best for you.

  1. Buy a calendar, planner, or notebook. Write a to-do list. Be as detailed and specific as you need to be. Write down your deadline for each item, and mark through them when they are complete.
  2. Find a place where you can be productive. Some people work best at home. Some people need to leave home because they're too comfortable. Find where you're most productive, and commit to going there.
  3. Don't overwork yourself. It's important to take small breaks while you’re working hard. I like to set my alarm for 25 minutes and give my self about a 5 minute break when that 25 minutes is up. I usually find myself working harder than usual because I feel pressured to make those 25 minutes count.
